Connectedness Through Daily Prayer

It is amazing that God would release revelation of His heart and His resources based on us talking to Him.

He says,

I have many things in my heart to release, I have much resource and much power and I’m going to do it related to how much you talk to me.

So its a great privilege but its also a fierce struggle because all the powers of darkness want to shut this thing down. There is a great struggle because the enemy sees the great potential of prayer reaching a certain level of maturity.

The introductory experience isn’t very costly, but to go to the heights that are available, it is.

It is a miracle that the Holy Spirit would help us in our weakness so that our connectedness to God would go to the next level; its a supernatural work of God for prayer to proceed even to this ‘talking to God’ dimension. But, when it goes to the higher levels of ‘Divine potential’ and ‘whats in Gods heart’, it is a miracle of great magnitude.

Why does God want us to pray?

It connects us with His heart in deep partnership.

I’ll withhold my resource to starve you out of prayerlessness. Because, you want my blessing, so I will withhold it. And as you become desperate and pray you cry out and then we connect - I could give you everything now - but you would end up with everything BUT connection to me. What I want most is connection to you.

God has made it one of His foundational principles in His kingdom that He requires that we ask.

You do not have, because you do not ask.

Most of Gods blessings are invitations. They are not guarantees. They relate to holy, believing, persevering prayer. All components of connectedness.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

In everything.

Both the increase of good and the decrease of bad.

We do this all because of connectedness.

Why? Its the manifestation of His jealousy for relationship.

Therefore the LORD waits to be gracious to you,
and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you...
He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry. As soon as he hears it, he answers you. Isaiah 30:18-19

He will be very gracious after he hears you. When He hears a sustained cry from your heart.

Make your requests known.

It’s not good enough to think about our need. We have to ask.

Take words with you

and return to the LORD.

Say to him:

“Forgive all our sins

and receive us graciously,

that we may offer the fruit of our lips. Hosea 14:2

For a consistent prayer life:

  1. 1.schedule regular prayer times...put it on your schedule

  2. 2.develop a prayer list

  3. 3.you have to have a right view of God. Do not think that He is mostly angry. You are His bride and He is longing for connectedness.
